FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Speed Trap 2.0 comes with tethers to keep the rods close by. Just listen for the "click" when attaching the tethers to the base to ensure they are secured properly.
Definitely not! The Speed Trap base is made of un-breakable polycarbonate. If you do manage to break it, we will gladly send you a new one.
All of our products are made for both RH and LH golfers. Just rotate the rods to face you and GO!
The 2.0 is wider at the front opening to allow a bigger distance between the rods for varied skill levels and this makes it easier for lower shaft angles like the driver. The slot in the middle is deeper and wider for more forgiving Iron shots. The 2.0 version also includes tethers that attach the rods to the base when they are hit. No chasing of the rods! Still uses an unbreakable polycarbonate base.
Yes, the Speed Trap 2.0 has a wider slot to better accommodate drivers.
Yes, by using the rods which are on the inside or closest to your feet, it will cause you to develop a swing that doesn’t come to the inside as much, thereby hitting the sweet spot rather than the toe of the club. It is a great visual aid.
It has 4 holes to tee the base into place on grass. If you’re hitting off a mat most of the force applied to the base would be vertical. If the base does slide, it would be minimal. You may have to adjust the alignment after errant strikes, but of course the goal is to avoid hitting the Speed Trap. Some golfers choose to apply a bit of grip tape to the bottom of the base for max stability.
Yes, because the force of the swing is on a downward path, most of the force applied to the base would be vertical. If the base does slide, it would be minimal. You may have to adjust the alignment after errant strikes, but of course the goal is to avoid hitting the Speed Trap.

Speed Trap 2.0
Great product! It really helps improve your ball contact.

Good for golfers struggling to hit the sweet spot.
It works, it’s okay. However, this training aid I really didn’t need to improve my contact as it turns out.

Great product!
This truly does help you identify issues with your swing!

As advertised
It does the job, as it says would. The pylons can be set to keep you from coming over the top, in-out, out-in, etc… If your swing is too shallow or ‘sweepy’, you will hit the board. My only concern has been the paint has chipped away on my mishits. Most of those were my first few times out. Other than that, if you use it as instructed, you will reap the benefits of your hard work

Best training aid ever.
I believe that this training aid will assist with all areas of my game. Short pitches and chips have already improved with the short time of ownership. Looking forward to using it all season. Very useful and worth the money

Price
A little pricey but good training aids

Speed Trap 2.0
The product itself seems to work fine but unless I missed something there doesn't seem to be much instructional support to go with the training aide.

Too Early To Tell.
Don't really know if it works. I agree with the design and function but having my left hip replaced last month means I won't be able to test it for another month or so.

Speed Trap
Works well would suggest to others for purchase

Super helpful
So far so good. Def helping with my swing.

Speed Trap 2.0
Greatest training device.

Speed Trap 2.0 review.
My experience overall was good. The product arrived as scheduled and in good shape, all parts present. The speed Trap is working as advertised. I would like to see the edges of the plastic board polished, (very sharp) and less ridged tethers used, (would be easier to move the sponge posts into various positions).

Just got it, but so far so good!
First of all,it was easy to put totogether. I have used it a few times at the range and it seemed to help with my driver more than my irons at this point. That is why I give it a 4 star, because I have only tried it twice.

Perfection
Just what I needed. To hit the ball first with a deceding blow. Thanks

Speed Trap 2
It gives good feedback especially on chip and pitch shots.
