A Simple Drill to Fix Your Over-the-Top Swing

If you fight an over-the-top move, this is a really simple drill that can help.

Flip the Impact Cube 2.0 over to the angled side, place a ball just underneath the angle, and make swings without hitting the bag. That’s it. If you come over the top, you’ll smack the cube. If you shallow it out and swing from the inside, you’ll miss the bag and strike the ball clean.

It’s such a simple setup, but it gives really clear feedback. And that’s what makes it so effective. You’re not guessing. You’re not trying to force some complicated swing thought. You’re just making swings and letting the drill tell you if you’re on the right path.

That’s also what makes the Impact Cube 2.0 different from a normal impact bag. Most bags are just round, so they’re great for hitting into, but they don’t help you train path like this. The angled sides on the Cube let you work on more than just impact. You can use it to train an inside path, improve shaft lean, and build the kind of compressed strike that leads to better contact with wedges, irons, and driver.

And because it’s made from cut-proof ballistic nylon with reinforced seams, it’s built to handle a ton of reps. Fill it with towels, set it up in your garage, at the range, or in the backyard, and you’ve got a training aid that can give you useful feedback in just a few minutes a day.
