FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Speed Trap 2.0 comes with tethers to keep the rods close by. Just listen for the "click" when attaching the tethers to the base to ensure they are secured properly.
Definitely not! The Speed Trap base is made of un-breakable polycarbonate. If you do manage to break it, we will gladly send you a new one.
All of our products are made for both RH and LH golfers. Just rotate the rods to face you and GO!
The 2.0 is wider at the front opening to allow a bigger distance between the rods for varied skill levels and this makes it easier for lower shaft angles like the driver. The slot in the middle is deeper and wider for more forgiving Iron shots. The 2.0 version also includes tethers that attach the rods to the base when they are hit. No chasing of the rods! Still uses an unbreakable polycarbonate base.
Yes, the Speed Trap 2.0 has a wider slot to better accommodate drivers.
Yes, by using the rods which are on the inside or closest to your feet, it will cause you to develop a swing that doesn’t come to the inside as much, thereby hitting the sweet spot rather than the toe of the club. It is a great visual aid.
It has 4 holes to tee the base into place on grass. If you’re hitting off a mat most of the force applied to the base would be vertical. If the base does slide, it would be minimal. You may have to adjust the alignment after errant strikes, but of course the goal is to avoid hitting the Speed Trap. Some golfers choose to apply a bit of grip tape to the bottom of the base for max stability.
Yes, because the force of the swing is on a downward path, most of the force applied to the base would be vertical. If the base does slide, it would be minimal. You may have to adjust the alignment after errant strikes, but of course the goal is to avoid hitting the Speed Trap.

Perfection
Just what I needed. To hit the ball first with a deceding blow. Thanks

Speed Trap 2
It gives good feedback especially on chip and pitch shots.

Speed Trap 2.0
It is exactly what I needed and wanted! Thank you for making it available!

It’s almost perfect
This one is actually a really good training aid. Will it fix everything in your swing? No. But, it does help quite a bit with swing path. It’s very well made. However, the plastic “lanyards” still come off when you mess up and hit one of the rods. What I’ve done is drilled a small hole and ran some paracord through the rod and then through the plastic plate. That way, if I’m using it on the range, there’s no way of losing a rod. I would definitely recommend it though.

Speed Trap 2.0
Excellent and knew it would be. What i would like to highlight is the customer service, this is the product.

Speed Trap 2.0
Great customer service. Useful product.

Great product!
I love this product! We have a hitting area in our house and I use it about 50 to 80 swings a day for a week and I can already see that I am not coming over the top as much with my irons. I highly recommend this product!

Creative Training Aid
The training aid is excellent. The instructions and videos are very helpful.

Cleaner Contact
After a few weeks of using, I'm striking the ball noticeably better than before with my irons. Will continue to use. Great product!

I love it! Just wish maybe a video to show every drill that you could do with speed trap 2.0. But for chipping and pitching it is fantastic practice aid with instant feedback!

Wow!!!
Played golf for years but never good. Always blamed it on baseball/softball. Play 8-10 good holes a round and rest blah. Shot upper 90s low 100s on decent courses. After about a month of using th speed trap in my backyard (roughly 50 swings total a week) it is finally paying off. Drives had huge slice about 200 yds off box ( now 230 ish) and irons while decent were a hit or miss, putting saved me many strokes. This past couples weeks the speed trap has finally paid off. Drives are now landing right side of fairway, still slight slice. Irons are more consistent maybe little draw now. If I can figure out wedges I'll be in low to mid 80s consistently, so 15 strokes or so better. Always been good athlete just couldn't figure out golf but after about 3 months just periodically, couple days 15- 20 shots per day a week, using the speed trap my game is better so much so that people have asked if I took lessons or what I did. I tell them just a mat and speed trap have done me wonders. Sure this sounds like a paid ad but promise you I never wrote reviews but this works, even my son uses it (5 yes old). I have videos to support.

Good contact; Come from an inside path.
Most recreational golfers, like me, cut the ball. This platform makes you come from an inside path. However, it can be set for a controlled fade, too. Very good for practice and create muscle memory.

Fantastic Training Aid
It was a little intimidating, but once you start swinging, it becomes easier. I'm having a problem coming over the ball and believe the Speed Trap takes a beating. I have a lot of work to do, but the Speed Trap will me golfer again after having seven back surgeries and knee replacement. I'm 52, so I have a little in the tank.

Big improvement over the first version
The improvements made are worth the purchase. It’s slightly wider so that using the driver with all red posts isn’t almost impossible. The tether links to the board are a big improvement. A great way to tune up your swing plane through the shot.

It is for birthday gift. Birthday not until June

Great. Awesome product.
I love it. Were the cords that connect to the foam markers supposed to be included?
